During the 2018-2019 school year, the students received architectural and interior design (3rd grade KSO, Design & Art School Kortrijk) as a graduation project in the vacant building "Oude Wasserij" in the Begijnhofpark in Kortrijk. This building was assigned to them by City of Kortrijk - Building Team.
After a collective site visit and survey, a first study model was introduced, followed by an individual and intensive course: a digital survey plan was drawn up, possible re-destinations sought and investigated. The definitive designs came about through sketches, study models, digital plans and 3D visualization.
From the range of graduation projects, Design & Art School (DAS) compiled a selection with work by Manou Cottereel, Maud Declercq and Victor Mahau from 6KABK.
The Industrial Art students (3rd grade KSO, Design & Art School Kortrijk) received the 'Festival' GIP theme during the 2018-2019 school year.
After a brainstorming session, the students came to the topics "Safety", "Accessories" and "Meeting" as a question.
Each student chose one of these focuses and went in search of creative solutions.
The definitive prototypes were created on the basis of sketches, 3D drawings, study models and materials studies.
From the range of graduation projects, Design & Art School (DAS) selected the work of Dora Monbaillieu and Remko Degrande.
