An exhibition where you can see some beautiful and historic Bauhaus pieces that Gyselinckdesign has selected. There will also be some special "BauhausNowHaus" pieces on display that were taken in hand by young artists and designers on the occasion of 100 years of Bauhaus.
Following the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus, Tecta has launched an experiment called "BauhausNowhaus". The initiative impressively demonstrates that the concepts, ideas and furniture of the Bauhaus era have lost none of their fascination and functionality from almost 100 years ago. Tecta brings the vitality and enthusiasm of the past to the present. A group of ambitious Tecta designers now personally commemorates the classics. Whether they are icons such as the Walter Gropius F51 armchair or the D4 club chair by Marcel Breuer. New accents, proportions and poetic impulses connect the concepts of the young designers. With respect and playfulness, they boldly challenge these icons and show us: Bauhaus lives, is open to change and is still up-to-date after 100 years.
True to the original!
How do we distinguish our original Bauhaus re-editions? The Bauhaus archive in Berlin only authorizes authentic reissues of the original Bauhaus models produced under license.
Are characterized by the seal designed by Oskar Schlemmer for the state of Bauhaus Weimar in 1922. Our Bauhaus re-editions are still modeled exactly on the proportions of the originals.
